The day kicked off bright and early with registration, bloody Marys, and mimosas shortly after sunrise. Though the weather had called for thunderstorms all week, Mother Nature knew the importance of the day and cooperated with cloudy skies in the morning and beautiful rays of sunshine by the afternoon, in perfect timing to announce our record-breaking numbers.

We are incredibly grateful for the support we receive each year, whether it’s through sponsoring our tournament, participating, donating raffle prizes, contributing to the cause, or simply spreading the word. It is not beyond us that without the help of our comrades, we would not have been able to host this tournament for now 18 years, and many years to come. Thank you to all.

For those who may not know, Vigilant Torch Association (VTA) is a volunteer organization that provides vital financial support to the Special Operations Community in their greatest time of need. They do this through emergency relief funds, especially for those wounded or killed in action, family maintenance/resilience support, and scholarships for family members.

On the other hand, the Los Charros Foundation (LCF) gives back to our nation’s youth who are pursuing careers post-high school in many fields, including agriculture, education, and trades. With a focus on leadership, education, and agriculture, they strive to assist and provide opportunities to youth who otherwise would not have the same chances as those in larger communities with greater resources.
