Capabilities

Venturi covers the full spectrum of logistics challenges: from the life cycle planning for supportability through end-of-life demilitarization and demobilization. Our teams work inside program offices and in the field to assess requirements, provide analytical products, manage property, safely store and move ballistic missiles and related ordnance, operate and maintain specialized material-handling equipment, operate warehouses, and manage facilities.

Venturi provides systems engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency, defining requirements and plans and performing risk assessment for MDA systems and associated testing. Our system engineers review related requirement and design change requests and analyze Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capability improvements; assist with the development and maintenance of the BMDS and program technical baseline, participate in system and subsystem engineering technical reviews, and engage in requirements development through the corporate board process.

We provide test planning, execution, and assessment from component to system level for ground and flight testing in support of MDA, the US Army, and the US Navy. As the Range Operations Lead for the Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska, Venturi was instrumental in transitioning Kodiak from basic infrastructure to an operational range. The Venturi team has supported over 100 launches at multiple test ranges.

With over 10 years of Hypersonic program development and program management experience, our employees support Hypersonic objectives for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the US Army, and US Navy. Venturi employees have played a pivotable role in technical and logistics support for Hypersonic Vehicle Design and Flight Testing for missions at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Hawaii and the Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska. Our team has been certified as operators of key flight test console positions during the conduct of complex multi-service hypersonic dynamic flight test experiments. Our employees serve on key OSD-level Technology Development Integrated Product Teams helping shape the nation’s strategy for future technology investment in areas of offensive and defensive Hypersonic solutions.

Venturi provides full service programmatic support including strategic planning, budget analysis and operations; development of Integrated Master Schedules; Acquisition Strategy and Milestone Decision Support; Operational Test Planning & Execution; and Risk Management Planning, Analysis, and Mitigation Development.

Venturi provides expertise at the Program/Project Manager level to assist customers in developing auditable facilities requirements while identifying potential issues and constraints that could impact MILCON approval and construction efforts.

Venturi delivers full life-cycle software engineering from requirements generation and analysis through maintenance and management. Our diverse software engineering team averages over 20 years of experience in fire control, mission planning, command and control, situational awareness, cryptography, automation, tactical aviation, critical infrastructure services, web development and mobile computing applications. Our software professionals design, develop, test, and field software systems for US Army and Marine Corps aviators, helping them safely execute their missions with communication systems that link multiple aircraft systems.

Venturi has an accomplished Embedded Hardware/Software Engineering team developing replacements for fielded military systems/subsystems with the goal of reducing government purchase and lifecycle costs. Our redesign of an integrated electronics package for a US Army aviation platform yielded a 300% cost reduction and savings to the government.

Past Performance

Venturi places tremendous value on relationships with our customers, primes and subcontractor partners. We continually demonstrate our commitment to meet customer missons, shared goals and business success. Venturi provides the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Army, the Navy, and other federal agencies with Engineering & Professional Services, Logistics and Software Engineering support.

Missile Defense Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Range Operations have been core capabilities since the inception of our company in 2006. We served as the Range Operations lead for the Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation in Kodiak, Alaska supporting multiple Missile Defense Agency (MDA) target launches. We provide full spectrum T&E support to MDA from component qualification and acceptance testing to Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) System level test program development, Flight and Ground Test planning and execution. Venturi performs test planning and execution at the overarching BMD System (BMDS) and Element levels supporting the MDA’s Directorate for Test, Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), Targets and Countermeasures (TC) and Advanced Programs (DV). Venturi has supported flight tests from Pacific Space Complex-Alaska (Kodiak); White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM; Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), HI; Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site (RTS) – Kwajalein Atoll, Meck Island, Vandenberg AFB, CA; and Wake Island.

In support of the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Venturi developed an Improved Data Modem (IDM) to address obsolescence issues with existing hardware and software. This new IDM allows modernized Army rotary-wing aircraft to communicate effectively with other aircraft and assets on the ground. After the system had been prototyped and demonstrated successfully, we worked with the Letterkenny Army Depot to establish an assembly and checkout facility, then loaded software on the finished units prior to installation. Venturi personnel are extensively engaged in modernizing the USMC Target Handoff System (THSv2), including development of a patented software modem that replaced an expensive hardware-based device. More recently, Venturi engineers have begun work on a new fire control system for Army precision fire weapon systems.

Venturi holds two logistics prime contracts under which we provide full-spectrum support to the Missile Defense enterprise. Our efforts range from logistics strategy development during system development through operations and maintenance of tactical and non-tactical vehicles. We develop sparing strategies, work with system prime contractors to establish system sustainment plans, oversee performance of deployed logistics systems, and manage Government property and material across the agency. Venturi professionals are responsible for packaging, handling, storage, and transportation of high-value assets including solid rocket motors, ballistic missile targets, and associated hardware. We provide mechanical repair and refurbishment for US Navy Vertical Launch System canisters, and are responsible for storage and transportation of Standard Missile all-up-rounds.
