Chenega MIOS HQ had the pleasure of hosting 20 of our employee’s children for National Take Our Children to Work Day.
As each of the children arrived at MIOS HQ, they were given a welcome bag and their most important piece of Chenega equipment, their facility badges!
Once each child was properly onboarded, we kicked off the day with breakfast and a presentation from Chenega MIOS SBU president, John Campagna, on the history of Alaska Native Corporations, the Chenega Village and how MIOS supports our companies as they support the federal government.
The newest members of the Chenega team were then split into groups according to their age and given separate tasks for their morning shifts. The team reconvened at 11:00 for the ever important staff meeting led by the one and only Chenega MIOS chief operations officer, Mike Buggs. He asked some tough questions, but one of the children really shined when he correctly answered all Mike’s questions about the village and received the coveted MIOS challenge coin!
We want to thank all the parents who brought in their children to learn about what we do here at MIOS, as well as all the employees who graciously volunteered a little of their time to make the a day success! We look forward to Take Our Children to Work Day 2020!
