2024 Chenega MIOS Intern Program

MIOS was excited to host the 2024 MIOS Summer Intern Program for college students this year! At the beginning of this summer, we welcomed Joshua Obee, Kennedy Keller, Bryan Peyton, Jaidyn O’Neal, and Dionte Ballantine (from left to right in the header image). Each intern supported different areas within MIOS, one intern being with our subsidiary Chenega IT Enterprise Services (CITES) and the rest assisting with our functional areas: Human Resources, Strategic Communications and Community Outreach (SCCO), Contracts, and Subcontracts.

The 8-week program was designed to allow our interns opportunities to grow as professionals through different lessons and experiences within the corporate environment. Each week, they participated in “MIOS Talks” presented by leaders from our functional areas. MIOS Talks are engaging informational sessions and Q&As designed to empower our interns with helpful tips to ensure success in the workplace.  The sessions included:

• Leveraging and Building your LinkedIn Profile
• Building your Resume
• How to Interview
• Professionalism in the Workplace

All mentors who participated in the program were ecstatic with the results,”This MIOS Internship Program was a tremendous success! The interns worked on several projects throughout the 8-week program that have made a significant impact within the MIOS Functional Areas and Subsidiary operations. Our interns exceeded day-to-day expectations and closed out the program with dynamic presentations on projects, new skills learned, and key takeaways from their Chenega MIOS experience. We appreciate all the mentors and personnel who poured their time into the Interns and helped to make this program successful! We wish the Interns a successful year as they prepare to return to college in the fall,” stated Vice President of Human Capital & Diversity, Lashree Obee.
