Chenega MIOS is excited to welcome the 2026 MIOS Summer Intern Class! This year, we are proud to host a talented group of students: Lorenzo Castaneda (Marymount University), Ashley Wahba (Pennsylvania College of Technology), Edward Barker (Virginia Tech, Pamplin College of Business), Chai Dunlap (University of Mount St. Vincent), Ashton Miles (Northern Virginia Community College), and Christopher Couser (University of Virginia). Throughout the summer, our interns will support a variety of departments across MIOS. Two interns will work alongside oursubsidiaries Articus Solutions (AS), Chenega Worldwide Support (CWS), and Chenega Architecture & Design Solutions (CADS), while others will contribute to our functional teams, including Human Resources (HR), Strategic Communications and Community Outreach (SCCO), Finance, Talent Acquisition (TA), and Process Improvement.

The 8-week internship program is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience and professional development opportunities within a corporate environment. Interns will participate in weekly “MIOS Panels,” led by leaders across our organization. These engaging sessions and Q&A discussions are designed to equip interns with practical tools and insights to help them thrive in the workplace. Topics will include:

  • Understanding the GovCon Landscape (Agencies, Mission Priorities, and Industry Structure)
  • Building and Maintaining a Professional Brand for the GovCon Workforce (LinkedIn, Networking, and Industry Presence)
  • Navigating GovCon Hiring and Procurement Process (Interviews, Compliance, and Expectations)
  • Practicing Professionalism and Communication in a GovCon Environment (Client Engagement, Team Collaboration, and Ethics)

In addition to these sessions, interns will work closely with mentors and teams on impactful projects that contribute to MIOS operations. The program emphasizes growth, collaboration, and real-world application of skills, ensuring each intern has the opportunity to learn, develop, and make meaningful contributions.

“Our team is thrilled to welcome this year’s intern class,” said Vice President, Human Capital, Lashree Obee. “We look forward to supporting their growth and providing them with valuable experiences that will help shape their future careers. We are confident this group will offer innovative perspectives and create meaningful impact throughout their experience at MIOS.”

From all of us at MIOS, we are excited to have you join our team and look forward to a dynamic and rewarding summer ahead!
