March is a crucial month in the Chenega story. March 27 is a day that has tested the strength of the Chenega tribe not once, but twice, in history. Though much was lost in those fateful days, the resilience and perseverance of the tribe members remain. Now, years later, we choose to honor this day by coming together as a company in the month of March to celebrate the tenacity of the Chenega tribe!
On March 7, 2024, over 130 Chenega MIOS employees gathered at the St. James in Springfield, VA, for the 2nd Annual Chenega Day at the St. James, to spend some much-deserved time together out of the office. Both subsidiary employees and functional area employees attended to take part in a kickball tournament, fit with a fun and rowdy fan base seated in the grandstands (shown in the video below). Following the games, our employees took part in a casual happy hour, allowing for great networking opportunities between people who may not get to see each other face-to-face very often.
We want to thank everyone who came out and look forward to hosting a similar type of camaraderie day, next year.
