Chenega Analytic Business Solutions (CABS) is proud to spotlight its Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) team.
CABS supports U.S. Navy operations through its SWFLANT on Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. It is not often that teams receive recognition from Strategic Weapons Facility (SWF) employees of the Commanding Officer (CO)! For several weeks, their SWFLANT team (pictured in header image from left to right: Cristian Schlapak, Shawn Bean, Dain Heald, and Jamal Young) has provided operational, help desk operations, help desk call tracking system administration, network operations, cybersecurity/information, and assurance/system security program support throughout the facility.
Recently, the CABS team had the unique pleasure of supporting Patricia Gilliam’s (HR Facility Lead) account turnover from HQ to SWFLANT. To say it was an unexpectedly complicated process is an understatement; however, the professionalism and commitment displayed by the team was outstanding. The team faced multiple competing priority IT issues, HQ preparing for Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI), and the mounting pressure of SWFLANT HR being at an all-stop. Not to mention all the requests for information they had to manage daily as more people started to track the issues. Despite this, the team impressively showed up each day ready to support. The team has set record numbers for solving Help Desk members’ issues and has offered fresh perspectives, assistance, and guidance to support Patricia’s inquiries fully.
Often, it is easy to overlook Help Desk operations, as once their solutions are provided, employees can go back to focusing on the mission. However, the SWFLANT stands out! They maximized efficiency by collaborating, exemplifying skills, and building a culture that encourages and upholds their employees.
