With just one year at Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS), ServiceNow Developer, Michael Junke, supporting the CARS Enterprise Management Services (EMS) team, has already made a meaningful impact through technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and a strong commitment to quality.
In his role, Michael’s day‑to‑day responsibilities include hands‑on development, reviewing story feasibility, allocating work assignments, and conducting technical reviews to ensure consistency and high standards across all deliverables. He also plays a key role in incident resolution and service request support, while contributing to forward-leaning initiatives such as the integration of Generative AI into a self-hosted ServiceNow environment.
One accomplishment of which the CARS leadership team is particularly proud is Michael’s accelerated professional growth over the past year. Following his transition from ten years of active duty service and beginning with limited development experience, he has rapidly progressed into a trusted resource for the team. Teammates now regularly seek his guidance on solution approaches, reflecting both strong individual performance and meaningful contribution to the mission and long-term success of the organization. Michael currently operates in a team-lead capacity, providing oversight of work products, informing solution strategy, and reinforcing quality standards across the team.
Outside of work, Michael’s relaxation begins with family time. Visiting the park with his kids and dog is his favorite way to recharge. Once the house settles for the evening, they enjoy flying helicopter simulations on a home flight simulator!
Above all, family remains his greatest source of motivation, instilling a strong sense of consistency, pride in quality work, and commitment to continuous improvement. Those who know him best frequently describe him as reliable, practical, and supportive.
