CDAS Recognizes Dontavious Williams for his Outstanding Efforts during the Holiday Season

Chenega Defense and Aerospace Solutions (CDAS) would like to honor Dontavious Williams’s exceptional performance as a new hire. Since being hired in November 2022 as a Postal Finance Clerk, Dontavious has shown significant levels of expertise in his role and has become a vital piece to his team with his funny, respectful, and caring personality. Dontavious’ daily duties include providing knowledgeable customer service, preparing dispatch receipt documents, tracking mail pieces, and the processing of incoming and outgoing freight. This past holiday season Dontavious served as a Finance Clerk at the United States Air Force Military Post Office (MPO). During that time, Dontavious’ hard work caught the eye of his coworkers. “The professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Mr. Williams ensured all records of accountability were expertly maintained while adhering to all USPS/DOD regulations. This devotion, exceptional customer care, and attention to detail greatly enhanced unit morale. Mr. William’s exceptional workplace knowledge, determination, professionalism, and attention to detail positively impacted the holiday mailing season’s success and its ripple effect on the staff’s morale, contributing to a positive workplace and a contented workforce,” said Site Lead Randy Garcia, United States Air Force Military Post Office. Aside from the responsibility that Dontavious has, his favorite part of the job is seeing the customers satisfied with the service that is being provided, whether the customer is sending off mail or receiving mail. “I am a person who loves to help people, especially when it comes to customer service,” he says.

Outside work, Dontavious decompresses by going to the gym or reading his bible. His motivation is his mom, dad, and grandmother, “They motivate me to keep excelling in life and to do the best that I can. They push me to become the best version of myself.”

Dontavious has become a staple within his workforce community, and CDAS can’t thank him enough for his contributions and efforts in such a short period. As Randy Garcia stated, “Mr. Williams always has a “Mission First, Airman always” approach. His resourcefulness, “can-do” attitude, and genuine concern for others greatly enhanced the postal division. For Mr. Williams, this position is not merely “just a job” for him. [He] has proven himself to be an invaluable resource in this capacity and a positive source of encouragement for those he works with at all levels. We appreciate his work with us and look forward to having him continue to grow and sustain his proficiency for now and far into the future!” Thank you, Dontavious!
