Chenega Defense and Aerospace Solutions (CDAS) would like to praise Sugal Ali Ahmed for his exemplary performance as a teammate and worker. Sugal was hired in 2022 as a Postal Stock Custodian and has already shown incredible levels of professionalism and dedication to his job. Sugal’s daily work duties include providing expertise regarding audits, stamps, supplies, RSS functions, and customer service to assist patrons with their postal needs. He’s prepared dispatch receipt documents and maintained strict accountability for over $13,000.00 in postal sales revenue and counting! He assisted in the safe and expeditious processing of over 322,000 pounds of both incoming and outgoing mail. Sugal also served as Custodian of Postal Effects (COPE) at the United States Air Force Post Office, Muwaffaq, Salti Air Force Base (MSAB). During the most recent Postal Inspection by the U.S. Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT), his professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts ensured all records of accountability were expertly maintained while adhering to all USPS/DOD regulations. “Mr. Sugal always has a ‘Mission First, Airman Always’ approach. His resourcefulness, ‘can do’ attitude and genuine concern for others have greatly enhanced the postal division. For Mr. Sugal, this position is not merely ‘just a job’ for him. Mr. Sugal has proven himself to be an invaluable resource in this capacity, as well as functioning as a positive source of encouragement for those for whom he works and those he works with at all levels,” said Site Lead Randy Garcia, United States Air Force Military Post Office. Sugal’s greatest accomplishment is being able to bring the Post Office up to standard and sharing knowledge with his coworkers. Aside from his daily work duties, Sugal says his favorite part of the job is, “watching our service members become entirely pleased with the customer service we provide at the Post Office.”
Whenever Sugal is not in the office, he decompresses by listening to podcasts about historical topics. His motivation is his dad, stating, “He spent his whole life doing honest work so he could provide for his family, and I plan to do the same.”
There is no doubt that Sugal’s quiet, loyal, and consistent work ethic has become contagious in our culture. His rather short stint has proved to be nothing short of extraordinary, and we are very thankful for all the hard work and dedication he brings to the team. Thank you, Ahmed!
