Chenega Defense & Aerospace Solutions (CDAS) is proud to spotlight Samuel Brosius, a Computer Operator IV, for his invaluable contributions over the past two years. As a Tier 1 IT Help Desk Technician, Samuel plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. His day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring various communication channels for support requests, logging tickets, and troubleshooting issues. Whether utilizing the knowledge base, manufacturer support guides, or online resources, Samuel is dedicated to finding effective solutions. He also handles user account management, software updates, and hardware setup, which helps to ensure seamless functionality across the board.
What Samuel enjoys most about his role is the opportunity to help others. He shared, “When a user is struggling with a problem and I am able to diagnose the issue and provide a solution, it is immensely satisfying. Knowing that my work directly contributes to others’ ability to do their jobs makes this role purposeful and rewarding.”
In addition to his accomplishments at work, Samuel recently reached a personal milestone that he is especially proud of: returning to school to pursue his Bachelor’s degree. He is proud to have earned a 4.0 GPA during his first three semesters.
Outside of work, Samuel enjoys spending quality time with his wife. Together, they love hiking, binge-watching TV shows, and playing board and video games. Samuel credits his mother as a source of motivation and inspiration. Her journey from no degree to earning a master’s degree in her 40s and building a career in nursing is a constant reminder to persevere and strive for excellence.
