Chenega MIOS and Washington Wizards Veterans Assist Program Reaches Season End

Chenega MIOS is proud to announce that we have successfully concluded our participation in the Washington Wizards Veterans Assist Program, a year‑long partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment that turned on-court assists into meaningful support for military veterans and their families.

Throughout the 2026 season, Chenega MIOS donated $25 for every assist made by the Washington Wizards, up to $25,000, benefiting the Vigilant Torch Foundation. The nonprofit provides holistic assistance to members of the U.S. Special Operations community and their families, supporting them during service, transition, and beyond.

The Veterans Assist Program was featured across Monumental Sports Network and the Washington Wizards Radio Network, raising awareness for veteran support efforts through televised and radio broadcasts, in‑arena features, and community programming tied to Wizards games at Capital One Arena.

“Supporting those who serve is a responsibility we take seriously,” said John “JC” Campagna, President, Chenega MIOS. “This program allowed us to connect our mission to the game—transforming each assist into tangible support for veterans and their families.”

The partnership was also highlighted during a Washington Wizards halftime segment featuring Ryan Maloney, President of Chenega Systems, who discussed Chenega MIOS’ mission‑driven culture, its strong veteran workforce, and the importance of supporting service members and their families. In the interview, Maloney emphasized how initiatives like Veterans Assist align with Chenega MIOS’ people‑first approach and long‑standing commitment to those who serve.

In addition to the Veterans Assist Program, Chenega MIOS also sponsored the Monumental Sports Foundation’s Ballers and Birdies charity event, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to community engagement and philanthropic partnerships across the National Capital Region. As a sponsor, Chenega MIOS was recognized throughout the event and during associated in‑arena and digital features.

Veteran support is deeply embedded in Chenega MIOS’ culture. A significant portion of its employees and leadership team have served in the military, many within the Special Operations community, creating a strong connection to the mission of the Vigilant Torch Foundation and similar organizations.

Through partnerships like the Veterans Assist Program, Chenega MIOS continues to demonstrate its commitment to service—supporting the warfighter and strengthening communities both on and off the field.
