Chenega MIOS was a premier sponsor for the Veterans Count Inaugural Awareness and Remembrance Gala hosted by the Northern Virginia Veterans Association (NOVA Vets).
On May 19, 2022, the event took place at the historic Poplar Springs Manor in Warrenton, VA. Everyone arrived dressed to impress and kicked off the evening with a cocktail reception which included socializing, light fare, drinks, a photo booth, and a silent auction.
The talented Angela Knight performed the national anthem. The night’s master of ceremonies, CMS Victor Angry (retired), invited the guests into the dining room, where they heard a moving speech from Colonel Phil Swinford (retired). The guests then enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Pampa’s Fox.
Then, a “Heroes are Never Forgotten” tribute and flag presentation was held to honor US Navy Lieutenant Commander Pamela Ann Smith. Following the presentation, the evening was filled with laughter by comedians Nikkie Knowles and Dewayne White, eventually closing out the event with remarks from NOVA Vets president and CEO, MAJ Angela McConnell.
Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) President Torie Williams attended the event and accepted a sponsor gift on behalf of Chenega MIOS. He was also lucky enough to win a beautiful handcrafted Army cane.
