Chenega MIOS would like to spotlight and congratulate Lisa Vazquez for recently completing her Master’s of Science in Human Resources (HR) Management from Strayer University.
Lisa started with Chenega Integrated Systems (CIS) in 2008 and has since been on the climb to her current title of HR Generalist for Chenega MIOS. She began the venture to her Masters, after having already finished her Bachelor’s in HR, in hopes of gaining a more in-depth understanding of the field. Through a Master’s degree, Lisa now has a higher understanding and outlook of the trajectory of HR and how to better assist the employees of Chenega MIOS.
Lisa loves working for MIOS because she loves the family-style environment and flexibility. She says, “I have made life-long friends and appreciate the longevity I’ve been afforded to do a job that I feel provides purpose.” She has appreciated the voluntary work-from-home opportunity while we battle the current pandemic. It allows for a closer work/life balance that is often discussed in HR.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
