As the Holiday season approaches, we’re reminded of the importance of coming together, being grateful for all that we have, and giving back to those who might need a little more positivity this year. In that spirit, Chenega MIOS was proud to have taken part in Operation Holiday Salute, an initiative hosted by Veterans Last Patrol that brings holiday cheer to veterans who are sadly currently in hospice care. As a sponsor, MIOS promised to send in cards featuring words of encouragement, thanks, and holiday cheer to some veterans who are in need of it most.
We asked our employees to help us give back by writing heartfelt cards, and they went above and beyond! Not only did the MIOS family put together cards of their own, but they spread the word to neighbors, local schools, and more, so that as many veterans as possible could be reached.
All in all, we’re grateful to be able to send over 60 cards to Veterans Last Patrol in hopes of spreading some joy to let these veterans know that they are appreciated and their service will never be forgotten.
