On September 10, 2022, Chenega MIOS and Chenega IT Enterprise Services (CITES) employees and family members gathered in Sonoita, AZ, for Dancing Under the Stars as the Title Sponsors of the event. Dancing Under the Stars, hosted by the Los Charros Foundation, is an event held at the beautiful Vera Earl Ranch to benefit the local, hardworking, and deserving youth of Santa Cruz, Pima, and Cochise counties. Through loyal sponsors and attendees, Los Charros raises funds to help the community youth who wish to pursue higher education and other leadership opportunities, especially within the 4-H program.
The night began with attendees networking and meeting with some of the students and youth who will benefit directly through the event. Attendees were also given the opportunity to meet a couple of the livestock animals that these young leaders had raised to show at different events and fairs. Once the dinner bell rang, people took their seats for opening remarks and the live auction. As the sun set over the mountains, attendees excitedly bid on donated items such as becoming a Cowboy for a Day, a weeklong stay at a French villa, and more. Following the auction and a plated dinner, the band kicked into gear, attracting attendees to the dance floor for some two-stepping! The night closed out with a bonfire and fireworks before everyone began departing, sad the night had come to an end.
All in all, Los Charros was grateful to have 350 people in attendance, all supporting their cause.
