Chenega Systems (CS) was awarded a contract with the Department of Commerce (DoC) National Technical Information Service (NTIS) in Alexandria, VA. CS will provide independent Quality Management Support, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance to support NTIS with selected customer projects required by customer specifications and service levels. The contract starts November 1st, and has a 6-month base and an additional 6-month option.
The NTIS serves as the largest central resource for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business-related information available today. Their mission supports the Department of Commerce’s mission to promote the nation’s economic growth by providing access to information that stimulates innovation and discovery.
NTIS will be a center of excellence that delivers trusted data networks through agile partnerships with the private sector and enables the private sector to develop new and improved data products and services. The NTIS expanded access to the federal government’s data resources, with an emphasis on data concerning the nation’s economy, population, and environment, to make it easier for businesses, government, taxpayers, and communities to access, analyze, and use data, strengthen economic growth, and create new jobs.
