Chenega Worldwide Support (CWS) is currently modernizing a building at the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) under a new contract.
Under this contract, CWS will design a new layout for one of the DAU’s buildings in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This modern design will bring new life into the building and help with the functionality of each classroom.
The DAU is composed of five main regional campus locations and two colleges across the United States. The location at Ft. Belvoir is the Capital and Northeast Region campus and is an ideal location for many military members and federal employees because of its proximity to Washington, D.C. This strategic location allows the DAU to provide responsive support to stakeholders in the Pentagon and numerous other Defense agencies. The Capital and Northeast campus serves the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition, Technology, & Logistics (AT&L) workforce of about 35,000 people.
Their mission is to provide a global learning environment to develop qualified acquisition, requirements, and contingency professionals who deliver and sustain effective and affordable warfighting capabilities. The DAU offers career-long learning opportunities, certification training, credentials, job support tools and resources, and consulting services on acquisition-related topics.
The DAU was created as a result of critical necessity, identified in high-level studies and legislation, for providing the DoD AT&L workforce with a professional career path and consistency of training content and opportunity.
