CWS Spotlights Bernard Hillary and His Leadership

Chenega Worldwide Support (CWS) is proud to spotlight Bernard Hillary, a dedicated team member whose leadership and commitment to excellence continue to make a meaningful impact. Bernard joined CWS over a year ago and currently serves as a Project Manager.

In his role, Bernard leads the daily operations of our printer support services across Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and the Pentagon. His day begins with establishing priorities, reviewing critical service tickets, and aligning his team for optimal performance. Bernard also oversees proactive planning initiatives, coordinates printer refresh projects, manages inventory, and ensures seamless onboarding and training for new team members. Throughout the day, he maintains open lines of communication with leadership and site personnel, drives process enhancements, and cultivates a motivated, mission-driven team culture. His work goes beyond managing logistics, he fosters an environment rooted in operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team cohesion.

What Bernard values most about his role is the opportunity to lead with purpose and witness the tangible results of his team’s efforts. He shares, “I enjoy solving challenges, improving operations, and making sure both the team and the mission stay strong and moving forward.” One of his proudest achievements is overseeing the full coordination and successful execution of a multi-base printer refresh for the U.S. Air Force. “I managed site planning, team assignments, and customer communication from start to finish, ensuring zero downtime and exceeding project timelines,” he recalls. “It demonstrated my ability to lead under pressure and deliver a mission-critical solution that directly supported operational readiness.”

Outside of work, Bernard enjoys unwinding by going for a walk or spending time at the gym. He draws inspiration from his family and mentors, who have exemplified resilience, discipline, and strong leadership throughout their lives. If asked to describe himself in three words, Bernard would choose: resilient, inspiring, and focused.

CWS is honored to have such a hard-working and dedicated employee. Thank you, Bernard, for being a valuable asset to the team!
