Karima Brooks, Lead General Clerk, and Eddie Gants, Project Manager (PM), are currently working on a high-profile postal project at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB).
Eddie and Karima lead a small team of CWS staff to turn around the mail operations support on Lackland AFB during the COVID pandemic. Through Eddie and Karima’s leadership and dedication, they implemented innovative methods, processes, and worked extended hours–including weekends–to address the mail backlog issues. The backlog was created when the mail volume more than doubled as a result of the COVID pandemic. Their efforts were instrumental in addressing all the issues. They worked together to create a more streamlined and innovative process that they implemented. This new process will be used as the model for the future operations of this project.
