October is right around the corner, and we all know what that means: Breast Cancer Awareness month. One in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Countless men will be diagnosed with this disease as well. This number is disgustingly high. That is why Chenega MIOS will be teaming up with the American Cancer Society to join in their fight against breast cancer. On October 22, 2022, beginning at 9:00 am, Chenega MIOS would be grateful to have your support and presence at Making Strides Against Breast Cancer beginning at the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC.
Many of us, unfortunately, know first-hand the devastating effects that Breast Cancer can cause. We’d love to help you honor yourself, your loved ones, and/or all others who have fought the tough battle against breast cancer at the Making Strides event.
Families are not only welcome but encouraged to join us as well! All who sign up by COB October 13, 2022, will receive a free MIOS Missions that Matter shirt to wear at the walk (including for your family members)! A photo of the shirt is shown on the right (and yes, they have been tested and approved for comfortability)!

Help us Spread Awareness by Sharing your Story
In addition to the Making Strides walk, we also invite you to share your stories on how cancer (in any form) has affected you. We hope to distribute these stories via social media and email to help raise awareness on warning signs and the importance of regular checkups. If you are comfortable sharing your story, please use the link below.
