In expanding our Veteran and Spouse Hiring Program with Hiring our Heroes (HoH) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Chenega MIOS is proud to have earned the #DiscovertheTalent badge from the Military Spouse Economic Empowerment Zones (MSEEZ). The #DiscoverTheTalent initiative empowers businesses of all sizes to support military spouse employment in their communities by working with HoH to target military spouses for job opportunities and share their success.
We have committed to a robust partnership with MSEEZ working groups of like-minded corporations and public agencies in Virginia and the D.C. Metro area to help shape corporate culture and policies related to the underrecognized talents of Military Spouse Hiring.
In Fall 2020, HoH surpassed its goal of hiring over 100,000 military spouses over three years. Though the initiative was a success, the global pandemic has exacerbated military spouse unemployment, with an unemployment rate hovering around 38%. After registering for the #DiscoverTheTalent program and earning the badge, we will leverage our relationship with HoH and utilize military spouse employment resources in the area to find and hire the talent we are seeking.

We are proud to support HoH in its mission to connect service members, military spouses, and veterans with American businesses to create economic opportunity and a strong and diversified workforce.
