KG Program Manager Provides Insight on Qatari F-15 Program in ACC Newsletter

One of Kapsuun Group’s (KG) Program Managers, Chuck Kowalski, was interviewed for the Air Combat Command (ACC) Newsletter in an article about the partnership between the U.S. Air Forces Central Command (USAFCC) and the Qatar Emiri Air Force to acquire the newest F-15 into their fleet by Summer 2022. Kowalski, a member of the AFCENT Coalition Interoperability team, spoke upon the growth of the Qatari Air Force.

The primary duties of the AFCENT Coalition Interoperability team involve ensuring that the weapons systems that their Central Command Area of Responsibility (CENTCOM AOR) partners acquire can securely communicate and share tactical and operational information with USAFCENT forces. When asked about the program, Kowalski said, “having interoperable platforms and systems means that when we need to fight as a Coalition, all the players can seamlessly integrate, essentially becoming one force.”

In the ACC Newsletter, Kowalski went into detail about the importance of the partnership between the United States and Qatari Air Force.

“Since the beginning of the Global War on Terrorism, Qatar has been a steadfast ally, allowing the basing of U.S. forces on their sovereign territory, overflight, and contributing assets and resources in many other ways to our shared goals,” Kowalski said. “Because Qatar wisely prioritized interoperability, it should allow them to seamlessly integrate into AFCENT operations. From mission planning to targeteering and mission execution, they will theoretically be able to drop-in like any other AFCENT fighter.”

“Qatar is in a period of incredible growth in terms of military acquisitions and capability,” Kowalski said, “Given their small size and population relative to their neighbors, they are forced to take a quality over quantity approach to their military acquisitions with a focus on air superiority and integrated air and missile defense.”

Kapsuun Group is proud to support AFCENT and its mission to deliver decisive air and space power on behalf of U.S. Central Command for the security and stability of the region. The entire article about the partnership between the USAF and the Qatari Air Force can be found here.
