On October 16, 2024, Chenega MIOS hosted our Fall Invitational and Brews for the Brave event, an exciting fun-filled day aimed at raising funds for the Vigilant Torch Association (VTA). VTA supports a unique subset of the Special Operations community and their families through a broad range of initiatives from mentorship and wellness programs, to emergency relief and educational opportunities, and beyond.
The day kicked off with our Fall Invitational, open exclusively to MIOS personnel, business partners, and loyal Chenega Invitational players. As players hit the course for a round of 18, prep for Brews for the Brave began in the clubhouse! Between a live band, raffle, photo booth, delicious food, and more, Brews for the Brave quickly became a fun evening for the community to gather together in the name of a great cause. We were so grateful to have five breweries in attendance, each serving up two of their most popular brews.
We extend a huge thank you to Honor Brewing, Full Distance Brewing, Lost Boy Cider, Lost Rhino Brewing, and Virginia Beer Co., for volunteering their time to attend our event and serve our eagerly waiting attendees. Through the generosity of our supporters, we are so proud to have been able to raise close to $9,000 for our Special Operations Community ahead of Veteran’s Day. This brings our total donated to the Veteran community through the years to over $1.3M. Thank you to all who came out, we already look forward to the difference we can make next fall.
