Chenega MIOS, a shared services division of Chenega Corporation, proudly announced its sponsorship of the Social Engineering Village at DerbyCon 8.0. Held at the Marriott Louisville in Kentucky, the DerbyCon 8.0 conference takes place October 5 – 7, with pre-conference training sessions October 3 – 4. The Social Engineering Village opens October 5 – 6.
DerbyCon’s Social Engineering Village includes the following schedule of events:
Friday October 5th
- 2 p.m.: Social Engineering Capture the Flag (SECTF)—Contestants attempt to gather small amounts of data from unsuspecting companies over the phone.
Saturday October 6th
- 10 a.m.: Poly Challenge—Participants attempt to beat a professionally-administered polygraph exam.
- 1:30 p.m.: Mission SE Impossible (MSI)—All ages compete in a social engineering obstacle course, complete with lock picking, hand cuffs, laser obstacle course, ciphers and safe cracking.
- 6 p.m.: SE Panels, “Ethics in SE”—Leading experts present and answer questions on social engineering.
