Astraeus Operations (AO) will support the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC), a specialized division under the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFACSYSCOM), to enhance its commitment to physical security through its Department of Defense (DoD) Locks, Safes, Vaults, Seals, and Containers Program- commonly known as the DoD Lock Program.
Established by the Secretary of Defense and recognized as the DoD’s center of expertise in Physical Security Equipment (PSE), the DoD Lock Program delivers specialized engineering and technical support to Navy and Marine Corps installations, as well as other federal entities worldwide. The AO team is tasked with providing engineering and technical services to support the program’s Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) branch, thereby bolstering its global mission.

Through this contract, the AO team will underscore NAVFAC EXWC’s strategic role in safeguarding national security through technical excellence in physical security systems. Their support enhances the development and deployment of next-generation physical security technologies while also ensuring the secure transfer and implementation of these innovations across federal installations.
